I have been an academic expert with Athabasca University since 2012. During that time I have worked on courses in architecture history, theory and more recently the technical side of the profession. I hold a Ph.d in Art History from the University of British Columbia specializing in Canadian architecture. My book, A Commerce of Taste: Church Architecture in Canada was published in 2012 by McGill University Press and received international distribution. Since then I have also moved into the field of instructional design, working with faculty at universities in British Columbia to improve online learning. I have worked in the project management of Massive Open Online Courses and I support online learning in a variety of institutions. I continue to teach online and in person when time permits.
